Hey, PCHM Sharks!

Now that the weather is heating up, are you getting excited about our next swim season? We are!

Our board met on Tuesday, so we wanted to update you about our plans for this summer:

• First of all, we WILL be having regular meets – assuming everything goes well with COVID numbers continuing to go down and no major outbreaks among any of the teams – and the meet schedule is already available on our site.
• Registration for Pebble Creek pool is available online now.
• Swim team signups will begin in April.
• Practice will begin May 17.
• Leila Tyler is continuing as our SAIL rep for Half Mile Lake, Stephanie Boyle will be our SAIL rep for Pebble Creek. (Thank you, ladies!)
• Our team suit will be the Sporti Shark Splice Jammer Swimsuit for boys and the Sporti Shark Thin Strap One-Piece Swimsuit for girls - both in red. You can find these suits on SwimOutlet.com, and we will be providing more information about suits and sizing in a future email. Those of you familiar with purchasing swim team suits on this site can go ahead and order the suit.

This year, one challenge will be money. In the past, we have been able to raise around $7,000 each year by planning a golf tournament fundraiser for our team. Unfortunately, we can’t do this event anymore because Pebble Creek Golf Club will no longer host it. Therefore, we are looking into other ways to fundraise because we do not want to raise dues for our swimmers. Ideas include getting businesses to sponsor the team, planning spirit nights, and hosting team dinners. In addition, we may have to cut some costs. If you have any ideas or want to help, please let us know!
