Get excited! Next week is our HOME SWIM MEET! We will need ALL HANDS ON DECK for that meet, so go ahead and sign up for your volunteer role NOW. If you wait, you might not like what role we give you. >:)

Are your swimmers available to swim in Championships (July 17) or Classics (July 18)? They will only be able to swim if they qualify. In case they qualify, you need to state their availability by this Sunday at 5 pm. If you don't say your swimmers are unavailable and then they qualify for the meets, you will have to pay a fine of $25 per event that they miss unless you can provide a doctor's note.

Last, but not least, here are the details that Foxcroft sent us for this Thursday's meet! See you there!

• POOL DIRECTIONS: Our pool address is 2 Foxcroft Rd., Greenville 29615.
• TEAM WARM UPS: Your team will warm up from 4:45 - 5:15 pm and the meet will start at 5:30 pm.
• PARKING: Our pool parking lot is reserved for the visiting team (you). We will have 3 reserved spaces for your officials or whoever you choose to have them. If the lot is full, please drop off swimmers and park on one side of the neighborhood roads. As always, please heed “no parking” signs and do not block driveways.
• SWIMMER AREA: Your swimmer area will be under the big tree on the field behind the pool. It is shaded, but feel free to bring pop-up tents if you like. Please ask your swimmers to bring chairs.
• SWIMMER TIMES: Heads up that Foxcroft pool is 25 yards, rather than 25 meters – meaning swimmers will likely have faster times than normal. The meet software will convert the times, but let swimmers know that what timers tell them will not be comparable with their previous best.
• VOLUNTEERS: Computer will be set up near the toddler pool, and ribbons will be in the Clubhouse. First-half officials and timers should meet behind the dive blocks at 5:15 pm.
• CONCESSIONS: We will have concessions with drinks, snacks, and dinner items available (also planning a food truck in the parking lot!)
• SPECTATORS: We ARE allowing spectators on deck, however, we are not permitting chairs. You can set up your chairs on the field outside the pool and enter the deck to watch when it’s time for your swimmer to race.
• MASKS: We are NOT requiring masks for our swim meets, as per our HOA. Of course, anyone who feels more comfortable with a mask on is welcome to wear it!
• SEVERE WEATHER PLAN: In the event of severe weather, we will follow SAIL’s Severe Weather Policy. If we clear the deck, everyone will be asked to return to their cars. I will email/text you when swimmers can return to the pool area.
• HEAT SHEETS: We will provide copies for all officials who need them. For your team, we plan to send the .pdf and will also have a limited number of printed sheets for sale ($1) at the concession stand.
