State of the Shark June 28th
Coaches Note:
We had so much fun at our home meet last week and are very proud of our Sharks! We are looking forward to our last duel meet of the summer! Coach Josh and I reviewed meet entries so don’t be surprised if your swimmer is entered in different events next week. If your swimmer has one or two events needed to complete the Iron Shark we will do our best to make sure they are swimming those events. If you or your swimmer has any questions about meet entries or Iron Shark, please let us know. We plan to work hard in practice this week focusing on technique, race strategy, and ways we can improve our times/ not get DQ’ed. Let’s stay focused this week and get prepared for some fast swims and best times!
Coach Lauren

Meet info for Dove Tree:
POOL DIRECTIONS: Our pool address is 2 Sugarberry Drive, Greenville SC 29615. PARKING: Parents may drive through the one-way lot to drop off swimmers then find a place to park along one side of neighborhood roads. Some houses will have No Parking signs, so please respect those homeowners. You may also park on Oak Grove Lake Rd and in the adjacent grassy area beside the tennis courts.
SWIMMER AREA: Since the area around our pool is so hilly, your swimmer area will be in the parking lot. Please bring pop-up tents if you would like a shaded area for your swimmers. Tents will need to be set up in the area designated by cones so that cars can still drive through the lot to drop off swimmers. Parking attendants will then close the lot to traffic by 5:00.
TEAM WARM-UPS: Your team will warm up from 4:45-5:15pm, and the meet will start at 5:30pm.
VOLUNTEERS: Your volunteer table will be under the blue awning near the main gate. First-half officials and timers should meet behind the dive blocks at 5:15pm.
SPECTATORS: No chairs will be allowed on deck this year. Spectators are permitted on the pool deck to watch their swimmers and then asked to step outside the gate to keep crowds to a minimum. There is a clear view of the pool from the entire fence perimeter, so there should be plenty of viewing area. Feel free to set up chairs in the grassy areas surrounding the pool.
CONCESSIONS: We'll have a variety of menu items in the clubhouse including barbecue, Firehouse subs, hot dogs, nachos, homemade desserts, candy and drinks. All sales are cash only.
Swim Fast Sharks!
Stephanie
