Hello, PCHM Sharks!

This past Sunday, the Pebble Creek Swim Club sent an email stating, among other things, "Instead of two swim team practices (one in the morning and one from 4-6 pm), PCSC will be host to only the morning practice. The pool will remain fully open to our members in the afternoons."

We have heard from many of you in response. We know you are confused. We are also confused.

We didn't know about this change before this email went out, and we are disappointed the PCSC didn't reach out to us for our feedback before they made the decision. They also didn't inform us before they announced their decision to the membership. We would have liked time to plan before everyone knew of the changes.

Last night, we met, and we all agreed that having only one practice a day is not in the best interest of any competitive swim team. In addition, having two practices a day offers flexibility for working parents who want their children to participate.

The timing of the announcement was unfortunate. Our board currently has only three members – Laura Fee, Roxana Evans, and Debby DeRosa. We were hoping this year would be a year of rebuilding, so we are uncertain what this additional setback will do to our team.
