McCarter Swim Meet Info
***Swimmer drop off will occur at the entrance of the driveway and then families can park in the grass lot and along the right sides of the nearby streets.
PARKING: Unfortunately, their parking is very limited. There will be a few handicap spaces available. If you know you need a handicap spot, please respond to this email. We will forward the request to the pool.
Additional parking is available in the grassy lot at the entrance to the pool and along the neighborhood streets right around the pool entrance. McCarter and Sweetbriar both branch off at the pool entrance. Fern Creek is another option; it is a dead end off of Sweetbriar.
On all streets, please park on the right side of the street only and do not park in front of stop signs, "No Parking" signs, or driveways. Traffic cannot get through when there are cars on both sides. We appreciate any help in lessening the impact on homeowners in the area.
TEAM WARM-UPS: Our swimmers need to arrive and be prepared for warm-ups by 4:30 on the tennis court. Ten and under warm-ups begin at 4:45, and eleven and up warm-ups begin at 5:00.
SWIMMER AREA: Our swimmer area will be on the tennis courts by the pool (in the corner near the gate and parking area). The McCarter swim team will be at the pool beginning at 2pm if you need to drop off a tent.
HEAT SHEETS: The heat sheets are attached. If you haven't already, download the free Swimtopia app to your phone. It will tell you exactly what your family is doing and when, and we will use the notifications feature to notify you of any last-minute announcements.
VOLUNTEERS: They will have a table available for your Volunteer check in. It will be towards the end of their building across from the blocks. Records, ribbons and computers will be in front of the bathroom building facing the pool. First half officials and timers should meet behind the dive blocks at 5:15. Second Half volunteers should be ready at Event 38 to transition quickly.
SPECTATORS: Families can sit to watch the meet in the deck area between the pool and the building. They also now have a green space behind the blocks that provides a good viewing area. There is a gate/path from their parking lot to this area.
CONCESSIONS: They will have concessions in the parking lot near the pool gate. Menus attached. They accept cash or Venmo.
SEVERE WEATHER PLAN: In the event of severe weather, they will follow SAIL's Severe Weather Policy. If they clear the deck, everyone will be asked to return to their cars. We will notify you via the Swimtopia app when swimmers can return to the pool area.
