Hey, Sharks! Are you excited about our FIRST HOME MEET???

Location:

This meet with be a home meet at the Pebble Creek Swim Club, 103 Pebble Creek Dr, Taylors, SC 29687. This map of our pool is for the opposing team, but it might be helpful for new families, too!

Set Up:

We will start setting up the pool for our meet at 3:30 pm. Please arrive at this time if you are signed up for set up. Any additional people who want to help with set up are welcome to come at this time as well.

Swimmers:

Swimmers should arrive at 4:15 pm to set up their areas. Our warm-ups will be from 4:45-5:15 pm.

Big Shark/Little Shark:

The Big Shark/Little Shark theme for this meet is favorite candy.

Parking:

Our pool shares a parking lot with the golf club, so we ask that you park closest to the pool and towards the tennis courts. Street parking is available on Pebble Creek Drive on the side opposite of houses and at the tennis courts. If you need to park in an area with houses on one side of the road, please be mindful to park on one side of the street and avoid blocking driveways.

Swimmer Area:

Our swimmer area will be in the field between the pool and tennis courts. Both teams will be in this area, so we will designate separate areas. The tennis courts are owned by an entity separate from the pool and are in disrepair, so they are off-limits. We will have the area roped off, but just FYI for tent parents.

Volunteers:

• First-half volunteers, please check in by 5:30 p.m. at the table under the tiki hut to get your name tag, supplies, etc. Officials meet on deck at 5:45 p.m.
• Second-half volunteers begin after event 40. Listen for an announcement to know when that is.
• Direct all last-minute questions about volunteering to Laura Fee, 310.387.9065 or [email protected]. Or look for the beautiful, tall blonde at the meet!

Concessions:

We will have trucks from One-Eyed Donkey (menu attached) and Sno Hut in the parking lot. Our Shark Shack will sell pizza, hot dogs, snacks, and drinks. We will also provide free popsicles to the swimmers!

Spectators:

We ARE allowing spectators on deck; there will be a spectator area near on the deep end side of the pool. Space is limited, so please be mindful of other people.

Severe weather plan:

In severe weather, we will follow SAIL’s Severe Weather Policy. If we clear the deck, everyone should return to their cars. We will communicate with you via Swimtopia notifications when swimmers can return to the pool area, so make sure to download and sign into this free app (no need to try the pro/paid version unless you want to) before the beginning of the meet.
