Changes to Coach Max's clinics
June 7th
Good morning, Sharks,
Happy Victory Friday for the third time already this season! As Josh mentioned at Ribbons and Donuts today, we're making a few adjustments to Coach Max's clinics. These changes are intended to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to learn from Coach Max and the instruction they receive is appropriate for their age and ability. We are making the following changes beginning with next week's clinics:
- Each clinic will consist of up to eight swimmers who signed up in advance. If only one child in a multi-swimmer family is signed up, only that child may participate in the clinic. Siblings will not be permitted to tag along.
- Each child must be signed up in Signup Genius individually. So, for example, if you would like to sign up two Sharks for the same clinic, you must sign them up individually using two of the clinic's registration spots rather than signing up both of them under a single registration spot.
- Coach Max will begin listing in each clinic's description the age group for which it is appropriate, either 10 and Under or 11 and Up. Please sign up only for clinics designed for your Shark's age group.
- If you register your Shark for a clinic but that Shark is not declared for the next meet by 5 p.m. on Sunday, your Shark will be removed from the clinic.
- We are establishing a limit of one clinic per Shark per week.
- If your Shark(s) participated in a clinic last week, please do not register for a clinic this week so other Sharks have the chance to participate.
- Coaches' and board members may remove a Shark from a clinic if that Shark has misbehaved in practice during the week of the clinic.
Coach Max will send an email soon to announce the opening of registration for next week's clinics. We appreciate your attention to these changes and support of the program!
