Hi, Sharks! Are you ready for another home meet? The details are below!

Location:

This meet with be a home meet at the Pebble Creek Swim Club, 103 Pebble Creek Dr, Taylors, SC 29687.

Set Up:

We will start setting up the pool for our meet at 3:30 pm. Please arrive at this time if you are signed up for set up. Any additional people who want to help with set up are welcome to come at this time as well.

Swimmers:

Swimmers should arrive dressed in their team suits by 4:00 pm to set up their areas. Our warm-ups will be from 4:15-4:45 pm.

Big Shark/Little Shark:

Don’t forget to bring a gift for your Big / Little Shark!

Parking:

Our pool shares a parking lot with the golf club, so we ask that you park closest to the pool and towards the tennis courts. Street parking is available on Pebble Creek Drive on the side opposite the houses and at the tennis courts. If you need to park in an area with houses on one side of the road, please be mindful to park on one side of the street and avoid blocking driveways.

Swimmer Area:

Our swimmer area will be in the field between the pool and tennis courts. Both teams will be in this area, so we will designate separate areas.

Off-Limit Areas:

Please avoid the section of the deck that is currently under construction, as well as the tennis courts adjacent to the swimmer area. Additionally, there is a large piece of machinery in the swimmer area that children must not climb or play on. All restricted areas will be clearly marked and blocked off for safety.

Volunteers:

THANK YOU to everyone who has signed up for volunteering! We still need:

• Clerk of Course (first half)
• Recording Timers (second half)
• Runner (second half)
• Parent Helpers (second half)
• Tent Parents (second half)

Computers will be near the toddler pool, and ribbons will be near the bathhouse. First-half officials and timers should meet behind the dive blocks at 5:15 pm.

Please check in with Laura Fee at the volunteer table under the covered area across from the Shark Shack when you arrive. She will provide you with name tags, lane assignments & any equipment you may need for your role.

Concessions:

We will have food trucks from Carolina Classic Diner and Berry Hill (menu) in the parking lot. In addition, our Shark Shack will be selling pizza, hot dogs, snacks, and drinks.

Spectators:

We are allowing spectators on deck; there will be a spectator area near the deep end side of the pool. Space is limited, so please be mindful of other people.

Severe weather plan:

In severe weather, we will follow SAIL’s Severe Weather Policy. If we clear the deck, everyone should return to their cars. We will communicate with you via Swimtopia notifications when swimmers can return to the pool area, so make sure to download and sign into this free app (no need to try the pro/paid version unless you want to) before the beginning of the meet.

Other announcements:

Silverleaf found some items of ours still at their pool after last week's meet, including shark towels and pop-up chairs. Laura Fee is picking them up. Contact her directly at 310-387-9065 if you are missing something.
