Important Information to Start Our Season 🦈
Hi, Sharks!
Registration officially closed last week when we reached our cap of 180 swimmers for our competitive team. We are excited for another fun and memorable season ahead.
Here is some information to help you get ready:
Season Schedule
Mark your calendars. Our first important date is Sunday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m., when we will host a virtual parent meeting. You will learn more about the season and meet our coaches. A link will be sent via email, and we will record the meeting for anyone who cannot attend live.
Be sure to check out the full season schedule and use this link to sync it with your preferred calendar app.
Team Suits
Team suits are not included in registration fees, but wearing the current team suit is required for meets.
You can purchase suits at Alpine Ski Center (30 Orchard Park Drive in Greenville), where they are currently in stock for your swimmer to try on. This is year two of our two-year suit, so if last year’s still fits, you are all set. All orders must be submitted by May 1st.
Big Shark / Little Shark Program
One of our favorite traditions. This program pairs older swimmers with younger swimmers for encouragement, fun, and a few surprises along the way.
Tanna Blackman is leading the program this year. (Thank you, Tanna!) If your swimmer would like to participate, please complete this form for each child. Pairs will be revealed at our Season Kickoff and Big Shark/Little Shark Reveal on Sunday, May 17th.
Volunteering
Each household is expected to contribute the equivalent of 1.5 meets of volunteer service during the dual meet season. This could look like one parent volunteering for half of two meets and another parent volunteering for half of one meet.
If you are unable to meet this requirement, please reach out to a Board member as early as possible so we can work with you.
Returning families, please consider stepping into a new role this season. We have lost some experienced volunteers, especially in official positions, and your support makes a big difference. Leaving entry-level roles for newer families helps everyone get involved and keeps our team running smoothly.
We look forward to a great season with all of you.
Fear the Fin,
The PCHM Swim Team Board
