🦈 Meet Declarations & Volunteer Signups

Hey, Sharks!

We’re excited to kick off the season with our biggest team on record — 180 Sharks and 20 Guppies! We’re looking forward to an amazing summer together.

Meet Declarations

Our meets are now open for swimmer declarations and volunteer sign-ups. Please declare your swimmers for each meet by noon on the Sunday before the meet. However, if you already know your swimmer’s availability — or know your family will miss certain meets — we encourage you to complete your declarations now so you don’t forget later.

Here’s how:

  • Go to the Schedule page.
  • Click the green "Meet Entry" button beside the meet.
  • Indicate whether each swimmer will attend.
  • Select up to three events per swimmer. (For new competitive swimmers, we suggest the first listed Freestyle race — 25 or 50 distance, depending on your swimmer's age â€” at the first meet. However, you are welcome to sign your swimmer up for additional strokes if you believe they can legally swim them.)
  • Indicate whether your swimmer will be available for relays. (If you mark your swimmer as relay-available, we ask that you honor that commitment. If a swimmer assigned to a relay is absent, the entire relay team may be scratched, which affects their teammates as well.)

Volunteering

Get the volunteer positions you want by signing up early!

  • Go to the Schedule page.
  • Choose the green "Job Signup" button beside the meet.
  • Select the red "Sign up for Jobs" button under your name to see a list of opportunities.
  • The "i" icon with a circle around it gives more information about each job when you hover over it.

Each household is expected to contribute a total of 1.5 meets’ worth of volunteer service during the dual meet season.

We do offer alternative volunteer opportunities for families with extenuating circumstances that prevent them from volunteering during meets. These opportunities provide volunteer credit, but families cannot sign themselves up for them directly. Contact Laura Fee at 310-387-9065 for more information.

Also, another volunteer option that doesn't have to be done at meets is Donut Pickup on Friday morning for Ribbons and Donuts. This opportunity IS available on the website, so grab it now if you would like to do it! Instructions are available using the "i" icon.

If you have any volunteer-related questions, please contact Laura Fee at 310-387-9065.

That’s it for now! Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you at the pool next week!

Fear the Fin,

The PCHM Swim Team Board
