🦈 Heat Sheets, Meet Updates, and More!
Hi, Sharks!
Are you excited for our first home meet? We shared most of the meet details on Sunday evening, and you can review them here: https://pchm.swimtopia.com/news/312586.
Attached are the heat sheets and individual event listings for each swimmer.
Please note that even if your swimmer is not currently listed on a relay, they may be added at the last minute if another swimmer scratches. Make sure your swimmers remain in the team tent area and pay attention to the tent parents so they don't miss any updates or event changes.
Volunteer Needs
We still need to fill several volunteer positions:
- Clerk of Course (1st half)
- Timers (2nd half)
- Parent Helpers (2nd half)
- Tent Parents (2nd half)
Our meets depend on parent volunteers, and we appreciate everyone who helps make them run smoothly!
First-half volunteers, please stop by the cabana and check in with Laura Fee by 5:00 p.m. so she knows you're on deck. If you have questions, you can text her at 310-387-9065.
Relay Ribbons
We've received a few questions about why we do not award relay ribbons.
SAIL does not provide ribbons for relay events, and the board has chosen to follow that practice. Providing relay ribbons would require purchasing a significant number of additional ribbons and many extra volunteer hours to prepare them before Ribbons and Donuts each Friday morning. Thank you for your understanding!
Scratches
If your swimmer will be unable to attend the meet, text Debby DeRosa at 864-423-2043 as soon as possible. Meet days are extremely busy, and emails to coaches or board members may be overlooked.
Reminder: No Alcohol at Meets
Per SAIL rules, alcohol is not permitted at swim meets, so save the celebration for after the meet. If alcohol is observed by the opposing team, our team could receive an infraction. This is true for both home and away meets. Thank you for helping us stay in compliance with our league's rules.
Team Greenville Clinic Tomorrow
Don't forget that Coach Karl Kozicki will be leading a Team Greenville clinic tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m. during the 11 & Up practice. Swimmers ages 10 & Under are also invited to stay after their practice and participate in the clinic.
That's all for now! We're looking forward to an amazing first home meet. Swim fast, Sharks!
Fear the Fin,
The PCHM Swim Team Board
