🦈 Sharks Swim to Another Victory!
Hi, Sharks!
We had another amazing meet last night and came away with another win: 360-318!
This morning's Ribbons and Donuts was especially exciting thanks to a surprise guest. A duckling was happily swimming laps in the Pebble Creek pool! Thankfully, our resident animal whisperer, Lilli Michaels, came to the rescue and safely relocated our little friend.
We celebrated the following swimmers this morning:
- Team Spirit: Abram Mandell (7-8 Boys) & Anna Belle ONeil (7-8 Girls)
- Hardest Workers: Blay Martin (11-12 Boys) & Maris Tucker (11-12 Girls)
- Swimmers of the Week: Noah Schoen (9-10 Boys) & Kylie Laube (7-8 Girls)
During her talk, Coach Lauren reminded swimmers about the importance of keeping their hands to themselves during practices and meets. Swim caps are for wearing on our heads, not for hitting teammates! We received several reports of this behavior in the tents last night.
We want every swimmer to have a fun, safe, and welcoming experience, so we would appreciate your help in reinforcing the expectations outlined in our Codes of Conduct. If you have children who may get especially excited during meets, please take a moment to remind them about respectful behavior and good sportsmanship.
Additionally, anytime you are not volunteering or watching one of your swimmers compete, we would greatly appreciate an extra set of eyes in the team area. With 180 children on the team, our tent parents can always use support in helping everyone stay safe and engaged.
As always, thank you for your partnership and understanding. And don't forget to declare your swimmers for our final meet by noon on Sunday!
Go, Sharks!
