🦈 Divisionals Weekend Information & Final Reminders

Hey, Sharks!

Divisionals weekend is finally here!

Before we jump into the reminders, we'd like to recognize a few people who helped make this event possible. A huge thank-you to Hillary Dobson for planning this year's event, Lauren Inman and Ashley Schloss for helping pick up and assemble our amazing decorations, and Laura Fee for planning and organizing all of our food. Events that seem to come together effortlessly never happen by accident; there's always a dedicated team working behind the scenes. Thank you all for everything you've done!

Divisionals

Divisionals information and heat sheets are attached again for easy reference.

The home team will provide heat sheets for officials, coaches, the Clerk of Course, and tent parents. Everyone else is welcome to print a copy or view their family's events in the SwimTopia app.

Our parade theme is red, white, and blue, so don't forget to wear your favorite patriotic gear!

Scratches

Please do not scratch events unless it is absolutely necessary. Scratching hurts the team, and under SAIL rules, a swimmer who scratches one event is scratched from the entire meet.

If your swimmer becomes sick or has an emergency on meet day and must miss an event, please find one of the coaches as soon as possible. They can explain the process for declaring a false start if needed.

If something comes up that prevents your swimmer from attending Divisionals at all, please text Debby DeRosa at 864-423-2043. While scratching isn't a big deal at a dual meet, it is taken very seriously at Divisionals. We will ask why you're scratching, so please honor your commitment to attend if at all possible.

That's it for now! We're looking forward to a fun weekend and hope to bring home a trophy. We think we have a great chance!

Since this is Coach Lauren's final season with us, let's give it everything we've got, swim our best, and make her proud.

Fear the Fin,

The PCHM Swim Team Board
