Tonight's Meet Against Stonehaven

Location: 5 Cooper Dairy Road, Simpsonville, SC
Swimmer Arrival: 4:00 p.m.
Team Warmups: 4:30-5:00 p.m.

Honoring Will Hand

Tonight, the SAIL community will pause to honor Will Hand, a 13-14 boys’ swimmer from Greenville Country Club who passed away suddenly. A moment of silence and a special poem will be shared in his memory during our meet.

Our board will provide green swim caps for our 13-14 boys to wear during relays. Swimmers are also invited to write “LLWH” (Long Live Will Hand) on their arms, legs, or body, and/or make a “W” hand sign as they step onto the blocks.

We are heartbroken for Will’s family and honored to join the SAIL community in remembering him.

Heat Sheet

The heat sheet for tonight’s meet is attached. Please note that Stonehaven organizes their meets a bit differently. As the host pool, they are in charge of meet operations. Let’s be flexible, gracious guests, and go with the flow.

Severe Weather

Thunderstorms are in the forecast. If lightning is detected, the deck will be cleared following SAIL guidelines. Please return to your cars and wait for updates, which will be sent via alerts on the SwimTopia app. Make sure notifications are enabled.

Join us at Pebble Creek Swim Club for donuts, swimmer of the week awards, and free swim fun. Swimmers should wear suits and be ready for activities.
